Video: Amma The Hugging Saint receives Golden Goody Award

Watch this inspirational video of Humanitarian and Spiritual Leader Amma‬ (“The Hugging Saint”) being honored with our top Goody Award called the Golden Goody Award at the Los Angeles International Airport Hilton before receiving thousands for blessings (hugs) “for her worldwide humanitarian charities, selfless love, compassion and life of service.” Amma has blessed (hugged) over 33 million people worldwide, and this was a rare occasion where cameras were allowed at her event: VIDEO: Amma The Hugging Saint honored with Golden Goody Award by Goody Awards.

Amma dedicated this special Golden Goody Award to children for their selfless love

Accepting this special award, Amma said, “In reality, this award is an offering to my children for all the selfless service they do all over the world.” Thousands cheered during this awards ceremony for Amma before receiving Darshan blessings.

Considered a living saint in her homeland of India, Amma (61) has gained an extraordinary reputation over the past 40 years for her personal outreach and extensive charitable institutions, collectively known as “Embracing the World.”

In December 2014, Amma was invited to the Vatican by Pope Francis to sign a universal declaration to end human slavery and trafficking. This topic is very important to the Goody Awards, who previously honored Unlikely Heroes Founder Erica Greve at a special “Girl Rising” documentary screening at USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism with a Golden Goody Award for her program the rehabilitates women around the world.

Mata Amritanandamayi (Amma) will be visiting 11 cities during her 2015 North American Tour between May 30 – July 20, 2015, including the Pacific Northwest, Northern California, Los Angeles (June 14-18), Sante Fe, Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, Washington DC, New England, New York City and Toronto.

Amma was presented with a Golden Goody Award by Goody Awards Founder Liz H Kelly & Planet Love Project Founder Jiah Miesel at the LAX Hilton in June 2015.
