ISF Florida Animal Rights Advocate Judy Paolercio receives Hero Goody Award

ISF (Ian Somerhalder Foundation) Florida Member Judy Paolercio received a Hero Goody Award necklace for being an animal rights advocate and making a difference in so many lives by fellow ISF member Kelly Mayer. Judy is a “proud member of the ISF Florida team and dedicated to seeing the completion of the Animal Sanctuary.”

Kelly met Judy in New York City, and presented her with this Hero Goody as part of her “Mission Recognition”. They met on Twitter, and this friendship is a powerful force for good.

I’m “tagging” Judy Paolercio as a “Global Citizen” for her hard work and dedication to being an animal rights advocate and for never giving up on her dreams.

Judy is not only an AMAZING supporter of the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, she is part of the ISF Florida team, who raised over $10,000 for ISF. Judy is someone whom I look up to and consider a good friend. In addition to working a full time job in NYC, helping to support ISF’s mission on a daily basis, raising money for ISF and raising awareness of animal abuse, Judy has also been working on making a dream of hers come true!

She has finished writing her first book! She is proof that if you want something bad enough, you have to work for it. She has devoted her “free time” in the mornings, during lunch, on the train, after work and many late nights pouring her heart and soul into her very first book. I’ve read some of it already, and her talent blows me away. Just like Ian Somerhalder, Judy is very passionate about what she believes in. Just by listening to her talk about why she got involved with ISF, her adoration for Ian Somerhalder, and her reasons behind her book, you can see and feel her excitement and can’t help but smile!

Judy is by far one of the most amazing women I have met. She is a great example of someone who is making a difference in the world by following her heart, speaking and acting from her heart. She inspires me every day to keep following mine!

It’s an honor to have received this Goody Award from Kelly Mayer, a true model citizen. I’ve always been an advocate for animal rights, and became interested a year and a half ago in the mission of ISF, finding a strong connection to Stacey Marine’s passion to see an end to animal abuse, and her efforts on behalf of ISF.  I am now a proud member of the ISF Florida Crew. 

Inspiration comes from many places, but Ian Somerhalder’s tireless efforts to keep our world and its creatures breathing clean air and living free from harm in green forests and under the depths of our oceans, has had the greatest impact on me.  He’s shown me, and so many others, that the most important things cannot be seen in the limelight, but rather in the shadows of that light.
