Free2Luv CoFounder Tonya Sandis receives Golden Goody Award

Free2Luv Cofounder Tonya Sandis was presented with a Golden Goody Award (our top humanitarian award) at their UNSTOPPABLE Empowerment Event fundraiser by Goody Awards Founder Liz H Kelly and Free2Luv Ambassador and Pop Star Singer/Songwriter GabrieLA on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at The Regent DTLA, in Los Angeles, California.
This lifetime achievement award presentation kicked off Free2Luv’s music-driven production to raise self-esteem and benefit underserved girls, and was the perfect place to honor Tonya with her fans. Her Free2Luv mission is to promote youth empowerment, acceptance and standing up to bullies, and there was nothing but love in the room.
Goody Awards Founder Liz H Kelly gave the big picture behind the steps that led to this big day. Kelly expanded with a big smile, “We’re so excited to be here today to present this award to Tonya Sandis. It’s our Golden Goody Award, which is our top humanitarian award. And this is the 6th anniversary of the Goody Awards, and six years ago the Free2Luv fans from all over the world found us, and they started tweeting awards using hashtags on Twitter – so Free2Luv actually won #CharityGoody Award of the Year and #TeamGoody Award of the Year multiple times – and then they nominated Tonya for this top honor.”
The crowds cheered, and then GabrieLa gave a heartfelt speech (that was a shorter version of her prepared speech). GabrieLa reached out to Tonya, and shared, “On February 26, 2012, my life was changed forever when I received an email from you. Now I’m getting teary-eyed. I love you so much. It has been an honor to work alongside you and Free2Luv for 6 years. You are everything. You are a mentor, a role model. You absolutely deserve this one-hundred billion percent. Congratulations!”

With deep gratitude, Tonya Sandis shared, “I am honored and humbled on behalf of the sheroes and the heroes that we hold hands with every year to uplift and empower young people, who sometimes are struggling with their sexuality or they’re being bullied. And we know the power of music and the arts. And so I am just proud, along with my Co-Founder wife and my children that are here today – and all the beautiful people who supported me to say thank you so much for helping us hold hands and lift people up. I couldn’t do this without all of you.

And together, Tonya, GabrieLA, and Free2Luv Ambassadors go into communities and uplift youth through music and art, which is a really cool vehicle to do so.
And then the UNSTOPPABLE show started celebrating youth empowerment to benefit underserved girls. And it’s not just a show, Tonya Sandis and Free2Luv are starting an UNSTOPPABLE Movement to “Be Bold, Be Fierce and Be You!”.
