Josee Nadeau – Hero Goody Necklace
Honored @Sundancefest for being our right arm, literally
World famous artist Josee Nadeau was honored with a Hero Goody Necklace at Sundance 2014 for literally being our right arm when we had an accident on the ice in Park City. The necklace represents global citizens making a difference, and she really helped us. Not only did Josee rushed us to the hospital while she was supposed to be at her own art reception, she let us borrow her coat and drove us all around the festival to capture the good for you!
Best known as the protégée for the Curator of Claude Monet’s Garden in Giverny, France for 10 years, Josée Nadeau was a featured artist at The Sky Lodge at Sundance 2014, and she also painted live at fundraiser for Paul Walker.
Josée paints about her environment with an impressionist style and larger-than-life images. She brilliantly captures the western spirit in her vibrant horse paintings displayed at the Sundance Film Festival. It was interesting to learn that the inspiration for these paintings of the west came from nearby Heber Valley where the Sundance Institute was founded and in the range where Robert Redford lives. When describing her equine paintings, she shared, “One must hear the sounds of the footsteps to paint them.”
