Winners are selected each month based on the most votes by users using Twitter #hashtags for the 5 different categories. Each one of these Goody Awards of the Month Award winners is automatically in the running for Goody Awards of the Year in each of these categories too. You can check the Goody Awards Leader Board at anytime to see who is currently in the lead.

For a vote to count, users must include three things in their tweet: @Username, Awards Category, and the Why.
